


Description:
This is the biggest project i worked on for the Italian Videogame Academy as a Lead Game Designer and Lead Art Director. It's a single player 3D Top-Down Bullet Hell in which your only weapon is a bouncing sphere.
You can charge and throw it against your enemies to defeat them in order to advance through the rooms.
I have taken care of:

Enemy combat and behaviour design
Working process:

Started brainstorming type of enemies that could be closely related to the core mechanics of the bounce

Delivered one document for the simpler enemies and one sheets for the more complex enemies needing more detail

Defined enemies by weapon, type of attack, health, movement, speed, dmg, possible stun and development complexity

Worked side by side with the animator to decide each frame and movement of the animations in as much detail as possible following the frame golden rules

Decided what the boss-phases were based on (time, attack, health)

Developed common,rare and epic power up to balance the game

Tested and tuned every single power up variable

Implemented power up particles system, niagara and 3D model

Working process:

Decided what type of currencies the game needed based on the currencies hierarchy

Defined the pervasivity level of each currency

Linked the score system to the juiciness of the gameplay
